So, if I am anything I am consistently inconsistent. At the beginning of this journey with this blog I realized with my lifestyle of being a busy parent, owning my own business and having a spiderwebby brain (I don’t mean that in the it’s abandoned like and old haunted house way, but in the there are intricate connecting ideas all the time way peppered with tangential meanderings way). I knew that this blog would be spotty. When you start a new habit you have to do it for 21 days in a row or for six weeks straight for it to stick. I am trying my best not to be too uptight about it because after all I am doing this for me and inconsistent is the best I can do now or maybe forever.

Anyway…I just got back from a short trip with my family and as a Sagittarius I need travel to and fill my energy gas tank. As we were on our way back I had all these wonderful ideas about how to be more fulfilled and connected to my most authentic self. I want the rest of my life to be an expression of what makes me excited and take risks. Let’s be honest, we’re not talking about jumping out of airplanes, we’re talking about writing more blogs and doing more enjoyable things just for the pleasure of it. Writing seems to be something that I used to express myself early in my life. Once upon a time I had a college professor tell me I wasn’t a great writer, so naturally I then decided I sucked and stopped trying. I know that’s a trope, but it’s the truth. Maybe you can still do something even if you suck at it and it will still lead to happiness. I want to give myself and others the opportunity to explore ideas through my writing and writing about my experiences. Maybe they will be inspired to write as well even if the writing is mediocre at best.

So, now to the card I pulled for today. I did a lazy pull and just looked at the bottom of the stack. the card “Illumination” caught my eye. It called to me, so I deiced to go with it. I used the deck called Magdelene Oracle An Ocean of Eternal Love by Toni Carmine Salerno.

I feel that I need to remind you that I literally don’t plan these posts…they just come to me. Check this out…the card that I pulled depicts a woman’s face looking to be in a meditative state with a spiral on her third eye center. The description which I didn’t look at until I typed all of the above states that “Your creativity is blocked at present because you are not expressing how you truly feel. To unblock your creativity you need to express your feelings”. Ha! This game never gets old. The one where I hear the message I need to hear right when I need to hear it. Seriously, if you don’t have an oracle deck, go get one. What an amazing tool to connect to yourself and get the messages that will resonate with you. This description goes on to say “Everything is valid, so don’t place judgements or restrictions on yourself.” There you have it friends..that’s the message. Don’t place judgments or restrictions on yourself.” “Creativity is the essence of your life and self-expression is creativity’s voice”.

The moral of the story, don’t listen to your college professors. What do they know anyway? haha.
